You know, you could have a series on your hand here. It's the kind of thing that would go viral. Nice job, dude.
Thanks mate! I tried this mainly to see how difficult is to deform a face into another. I'm pleased with how realistic it looks. I surely will use again this method.
Oh, and nobody mentioned it but the Like sculpture just solidifies this as perfect.
Very nice!
Ancient alien?
Looks perfect!
This is quite impressive, i like it!
Holy shit.. Nice job!
So impressed. How'd you do it?
Thanks! the process is simple but requires a lot of time. I cut "patches" from the bust and placed them over the Zuck's face.
I tried to match his features as much as possible rotating and resizing the patches.
Then I used "warp transform" in gimp to exactly match the features. I moved the parts with high contrast (lines, eyes, nose, etc) until every patch matched.
You have to adjust the tool parameters so that the deformation is subtle.
I kept every patch on a separate layer. when done matching the features I masked each layers in order to better blend them togheter.
The whole process took about 5 hours, I find it relaxing so I did that when taking a break from work in multiple sessions.
Really awesome. I haven't played with "warp transform"...but will now! Thanks!
Yeah, it's really incredible! How did you do the "rust" stuff at the edges?
Look at the additional source. I used the picture of a real roman bust. the rust stuff was already there :)
