I figured it would be helpful to have some easy visuals for recurring NPCs, just so my party would have an easier time putting names to a faces. This is the pirate crew my players have signed on with in our Tides of Retribution campaign, which we just finished the initial module for tonight. Figured I might as well share them with you cool, creative folks.

We've got, from left to right:

- Boerth, the ever-distrustful bosun. Fond of dragon chess and games of chance. Prone to speaking in third person, despite his refined accent and sharp wit.

- Dajarkal, the soft-spoken druid and jack of all trades. Prefers the company of animals to people. Often speaks with seagulls. Makes great gazpacho.

- Dillyu ("Dillweed"), the much suffering deckhand. Didn't choose the pirate life, and it sure didn't choose him. Lost an arm in a sahuagin ambush.

- Kijori, the hopeless romantic navigator. Gullible as a seabird, and twice as dumb, though prone to odd spurts of savviness, especially with maps. Lost an eye in a sahuagin ambush.

- Three Earrings, the cunning captain. Her glib ease of command belies a manipulative, razor sharp intellect. Good at telling people what they want to hear.

- Heidi Axebeard, late first mate and pilot. A gruff and unscrupulous priest of Kord with a knack for predicting the weather. In an uncharacteristic bout of selflessness, lost her life rescuing the party during a sahuagin ambush.

You've got SO Much character in these, you should be seriously proud!

That's an impressive amount of time spent in the posing for each. Well played.

I love how much personality they have! And the little details, like how Dillyu is about to trip over his bucket, and how Kijori is not only holding the telescope over his missing eye, but he’s got it flipped around so it wouldn’t work anyway!

The telescope would work... Just make his job harder

These are fine, but Kijori gave me a good laugh, thanks for that with the scope :)

I love this! How did you put the nameplate and role into the picture, was that hero forge or something else?

Oh, I just looked for a random wooden tavern sign vector on the internet and put it all through ClipStudioPaint. Nothing fancy.

It would be neat if Hero Forge had a function for that in the portrait studio, though!
