Dpdr & Aphantasia

I've been depersonalized/derealized my entire life, at least as far as I can remember, to the extent that I didn't understand there was anything wrong until recently when I felt like a person for the first time and understood what I was missing.

I've had aphantasia my entire life, at least that I can remember, and had no idea that other people actually see (or hear or smell) things in their heads until recently. Unfortunately I haven't had the same moment of clarity where I understood what I was missing.

Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend I'm real. I tell myself that my legs are real and tangible and that my fingers occupy actual space in three dimensions and that I actually exist. It's more a thought exercise than anything else, since I can't actually talk myself into believing it or understanding it.

So here's my thing: is there a known correlation between dpdr and aphantasia? Is my dpdr worse because of the aphantasia? If I could imagine I was real, picture it in my head, would that make it easier for me to turn into an actual alive person who exists?
