Southeast USA Locations

Road Trip

It’s our first winter in the Van life and we’ve decide to be snowbirds and head south for the winter. Is there any recommendations for good places to check out in the South/southeast( Texas, Florida, Georgia,Tennessee, NOLA) ETC

That area of the country is getting pounded bad by the virus and it will likely get a lot worse over the next few months. So any recommendations I could give for cool things to visit would be pointless--they likely won't be open anyway.

Sadly, now is not exactly the best time to be sightseeing in the USA.

On the north to south coastal side of things, you need to go to at least St. Augustine FL to get out of the cold and have something interesting to do. They've got like, a cool fort.

Not that we're having any real cold yet, even in NC. But I assume you're planning a trip and things will change.

The mountains in north Georgia are gorgeous. If you're going to be self-contained, you'll likely manage fine.

Pisgah National Forest in NC near Asheville is also beautiful.

TN is not a place to "snowbird", just FYI. Daytime is mild at best through December before plunging into months of bitter cold.
