Need Help On Super Metroid (Not Noob Bridge)

I haven't played super metroid in forever, and decided to play again, but I need help. So, it's not the noob bridge, it's the room directly after... I can't jump high enough to reach the ledge, and the door on the bottom requires a power up I don't have. The way back has a gate I can't open because the switch is on the other side.
