Is anyone else a little confused by the current CM Punk/HHH/Nash angle?
I'm not going to dump all over the angle, because I think it's probably still early, and they're not even close to doing all that they're going to do with it.
My reason for confusion is this:
I don't think the crowd really knows what the hell is going on, or who to cheer for. It would seem that CM Punk is the apparent babyface in the situation. HHH is the reasonable yet unpredictable C.O.O. Nash is the 3rd party who is doing the dirty work.
The issue is that I feel the crowd is confused. The crowd cheers CM Punk sometimes, yet a lot of the crowd does not agree with his "things need to change" stance. That shit is directed to most of us, the IWC. The current crowd is still eating things up. The crowd cheers HHH even more. He seems to be becoming a bigger part of this angle than Punk is, which is sort of no surprise. Sometimes, the crowd cheered Nash.
THE CROWD CHEERED FOR KEVIN NASH
He couldn't get over as a babyface half the time, and now when he's a heel, he's getting more cheers.
It may still be super early with this, but I think they need to make a move to define it immediately, before it becomes too watered down and loses its focus. If the intent is to establish Punk as the babyface who fights authority, and have HHH/Nash be the authority, do it at the next PPV.
I'm not a giant Punk fanboi, but I do think he's very talented. I think his hard work is being dissipated too much right now, because no one really knows what anyones' intentions are.
