Fucking hell, I was just watching that live stream and the police ended up not arresting someone they'd got hold of. The crowd cheered and a few made Nazi salutes. WTF.

Another was celebrating after he said someone had punched a copper in the face. Vile crowd.

lozingeOP•

Yeah its bizarre - the comments are cancerous as well

Was watching the same lol. I think it was just the one guy that did the nazi salute towards the police.

But I think he did it more like mocking the police implying that they are the nazis, followed by the "wankers" hand gesture lol.

They didn't arrest this guy and they're not arresting everyone on sight.

And so it should , bunch of dickheads protesting in the middle of a pandemic thinking that by quoting the Magna Carta it makes them invulnerable to the law etc

Should take the names of all of them and bar then from any NHS treatment if they fall ill from covid

Yeah, funny how that works. The scientific consensus is covid is bad for your health and easily spread. Your opinion to the contrary is irrelevant. Do the science, produce peer reviewed, verifiable results that corroborate your alternative facts, then we can have a chat about protesting the policies. Until then, get in the sea, and take your 3 day old, obvious troll account with you.

Amazing how bots can change people's opinion. I had a friend who was absolutely paranoid about covid before the first lockdown. Refusing to leave the house back in February. During the first lockdown he criticised me for continuing to go to work. Once the right wing talking points turned against the lockdown he was going to these protests as well.

Yep. Somebody sits behind a computer 3000 miles away and can start a riot with a few tweets.

Excuse me Moscow is 1550 miles away

Apparently not wanting to be homeless and poor and actually work for a living is an affront to some people.

Yep. There's a large Reddit contingent who want to stay inside. They are either students, or people have nice Middle-class jobs they can do from home. They probably think that if they WFH or are on furlough they will be fine.

There's a lot of people, and many of my friends, who have nearly lost everything because of the lock-downs. Even people who thought being on furlough would protect them.

It hasn't. However some people on Reddit want these to starve and be homeless.

I've seen a few photos on twitter accompanied by the now sadly predictable replies cheering the protesters on and claiming that the lock down is part of some global conspiracy.

I feel for those who have been furloughed/made redundant or had to close their businesses. But without the lockdown more people will die, need hospital treatment and suffer long term consequences of covid. So I'm afraid our 'rights' come second at the moment. Staying at home and wearing a mask in supermarkets is a better ask than ending up ill in hospital.

They seem to be smashing the low traffic neighbourhood measures up . But blocking the road with it meaning no vehicles can use the road. Seems a little illogical.

Well, it reduces the traffic. Seems perfectly logical to me.
