What draft class is most similar to the 2021 draft in terms of the amount of talent?
I'm curious on whether or not this current draft class's hype and talent level is overblown due to the previous year's draft class having no clear top talent or if this current draft class actually has 5-7 prospects with All Star+ potential.
It'd be great to compare a draft class similar to this one to see how many of the prospects ended up having great NBA careers or not.

Definitely this.
For some reason I find 2021 having deeper talent.
Like top 5 are really close(to one another). And they're top tier talent(would be in top 5 in any draft IMO). The 6 to 10 talent in this draft has really high upside. It's just that the top 5 are more polished than them. But obviously there are games to be played. So we will see how the top 10 are going to develop within the season.
11 to 17 in this draft have freak athletes. Usman Garuba, Greg Brown and Ibou Dianko Badji. I currently have them late lotto to mid-first range, because they are a bit raw. But we will see.
The 18 to mid 20's in this draft may not have top tier athleticism. But has the combination of size and skills. And I haven't included the juniors and seniors of this class. The freshman and sophomores guards plus the young int'l prospects(Roko Prkačin, Josh Giddey and Ariel Hukporti) are really promising.
Early looks I would say, this is the most talented draft in history. Because of how deep the talent level is.
2022 might be better in the top 3, but nowhere near this deep.
I wouldn’t say most talented. 2003 had 9 players be allstars. An 10th was sixth man of the year, and a whole bunch of role players
