Contrast that with the _utter terror_ he shows in the Shura ending when he realizes what he's done.  He's a very interesting character, especially given that he dies after every interaction we have with him.

I always love to hear how chill he is when you defeat him. Despite how much of an asshole he is with his evil intentions, the whole fight was just a father-son moment in the end with him even feeling a bit proud when overpowered by the son he raised. Parental instincts combined with the iron code of the shinobi produced an interesting character
