We appreciate our users and respect their safety.

To add to this, as a Reddit community, we also follow General Reddit Guidelines and Rules. Thus, here are 4K Download Reddit Community Rules:

  • Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking any group of people. Everyone has a right to use Reddit free of harassment, racism, bullying, threats of violence and hate speech. Such behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Read/search before posting. Please have a look through the FAQ and search through older threads before posting. Avoid duplicate posts, check information before posting and add your comment to an already existing thread. Use navigation or scroll to check if a topic is already discussed. All duplicate content is deleted permanently. This measure is set up to prevent posters from bringing the same questions again and again as it detracts from actual interesting discussion on the subreddit.
  • Keep it legal. Avoid posting links leading to cracked and not verified versions of software, as it can contain viruses, malware and adware. Avoid posting links to other sites, especially with dubious content. If some links need to be checked - send them as a modmail or, what is better - submit to [email protected]. We can post only 100% approved links for the sake of safety of our users. Promotion of other third-party software is also not allowed.
  • Respect your privacy and the privacy of others. For example, if you post an issue report in our Reddit Community, we would need more information about the matter such as the characteristics of your OS and the software, log files etc. However, we do respect your privacy and confidentiality and don’t allow such information to be posted. Thus, it’s always better to send it either as a modmail, or submit to [email protected] for further investigation.

If you still have questions which need personal assistance - 4K Download Support team is always ready to help - [email protected]

Thank you and have a nice day!

Here is another suggestion that could be used for these rules:

If you have a problem with your software, then you should include what links failed to parse/download, your version number, your OS and its version, a screenshot (if possible), if anything else was downloading, your log files (if possible), a screenshot/explanation of Preferences>General, if you were using a VPN/proxy, basically anything that could help explain the problem more. Without any of this (which most posts have), then it will be very hard (if not impossible) to tell what caused the problem, and thus, reproduce it and (possibly) fix it.

ImaginairyConclusion4, if you read this, please put this rule into here! It’ll help out a lot with many, MANY issues that people post! Trust me!

Please note that it is described in the following paragraph:

Respect your privacy and the privacy of others. For example, if you post an issue report in our Reddit Community, we would need more information about the matter such as the characteristics of your OS and the software, log files etc. However, we do respect your privacy and confidentiality and don’t allow such information to be posted.
