This!!! This is what this sub is good for!
This made me blow my load when I checked and it was real.
It also shows up if you use satellite view!!!
You are a fucking legend for posting this.
I just quickly switched over to Google maps to check, and I got so excited when I saw the numbers.
How well does google maps work? I got the option to switch to the in app google maps but declined because my Apple Maps app has been treating me pretty well. Apple Maps does get a little glitchy when my cell signal is low but nothing so bad that it leaves me lost or frustrated. How well does the in app google maps work for everyone? Should I switch?
I stick to Google because on top of this it's the only one I know that shows a picture of the house when you arrive. That is unbelievably helpful.
I have always used Waze..... how is it in comparison?
Waze is owned by google.
Google owns waze, they're slowly working on phasing waze out it seems.
Best thing I like about waze is the cop notices.
Ill try and use google maps tonight.
More accurate than Waze on interstates.
Ironically waze was awesome before Google acquired them. Then there was no purpose to have two apps alike so imo, it's a tween map app that focus more on socializing than actual utility. The cop locator is nice.
I use Google and my boyfriend uses apple maps. I have a Samsung and he has an iPhone. I think both work best with their own platforms tbh.
Happy cake day!
I like Apple maps for a few reasons. It shows stop signs and traffic lights ahead in your route, and it tells you the address when you have arrived. A few weeks ago i tried Google maps and all it says is “you have arrived at your destination” but never told me the numbers so im rushing back to the dd app to figure out what building i need. So yah like i rarely have an issue with Apple maps, but it would be cool if it had this new feature
I hate using Google maps on my iPhone. I prefer Apple Maps
I tried both and Apple Maps always works better for me
whoa
What do I have to do to get this layer? I don't see it.
Update the app
Zoom in close
This started a long time ago. There will be more apartments ect. In each update.
Also, zoom in real close to see.
3D view layer!
Soon you'll be able to see inside each house

I noticed this today, so exciting!
As soon as I get a free reward, it's yours. Thanks!
This should be helpful at night
Thanks for sharing. You just need to zoom in it's amazing!!
Apple also has it
Google maps > Apple Maps especially while dashing
You guys just notice that? I saw a while ago haha. But yeah, it is mad useful for delivery.
Must have been some A/B testing, because this is definitely new to me, just randomly started doing this 2 days ago.
...I could cry right now. thank you OP!!!!!!!
If they manage to do this for apartment complexes too then that will be a real game changer, and also sadly make my app that I've worked so hard on even more irrelevant.
Don't get discouraged. Try and make a unique feature for your app, such as stop lights. I'm not sure if that's even possible or how much work it would require but don't give up.✊
Already on another app
They already have that on apple maps
Damnit!! I dont care for apple phones but I do prefer their maps!

Dad, are you still at the gas station getting milk? It's been 32 years😭
Try putting Google into walking directions in apartments. Sometimes it will work
Google has been slowly adding apartment complexes, but a lot of the work has to be contributed and entered manually. Every once in awhile I'll go to an apartment complex that previously wasn't mapped properly, but now brings me right to the correct building.
Sell your app.
With barely 20 active users I doubt it will sell for anything
Someone recommended using Beans Maps in another post yesterday. I downloaded it but have yet to use it. Seems legit though!
I tried beans maps about a year ago, but immediately stop using it since there weren't many apartments mapped in my area and the amount they paid out for you to do the mapping yourself and send it to them was pretty pathetic. It was $5 per apartment complex if I remember correctly.
It seems to have gained popularity now and may be worth using today.
I am sorry you found our payout low. We try to help fellow drivers just like you are trying to build an app. We have added 10,000 more maps this year to improve delivery experience.

Best of luck. Does it scrape data from apps or do you have to input it manually?
You have to input it manually
What platform is your app on?
Go to the link and it tells you right there.
