First system, upgrading from sound bar

Hey guys, I have my first kit coming in on Thursday. Let me know what you think and wanted to see if anyone is running similar?

Rcvr Denon AVRS750H Fronts R620F Center R34C Rears R51M Sub R120SW

TV is a Samsung Q90T, I use the TV apps and my Series X for movies/content.

Any suggestions, tips, etc would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

The only tips you should need is to put your surrounds at ear level (common mistake is to put them higher) and to find the best place for your sub in your room. It’s not always right in front or in a corner. Look up how to do the sub crawl or just experiment with placement until you find an even, punchy response.

It should be a pretty big upgrade and I imagine you will be impressed let us know how it sounds when it’s set up.

Going to be a huge upgrade. I'm a fan of dedicated devices, but the tv doesn't have Dolby vision, so the Xbox should do just fine. I have some stuff coming in about a week after that. A lot of stuff. Only way to afford it was to sell all my current stuff, and I'm going on a few weeks without it. But I'm switching from klipsch reference and bouncy house atmos to RP, traditional floorstanding speakers and rp500SA's are going to be my heights(not in-ceiling, front heights, and eventually rear heights). I got an RP500C when it was 289 2 weeks ago and that titanium tweeter showed up my damn r26fa's! So I got pretty good money for them and am going rp6000f-rp500c-r41m(surround)-rp500sa(elevation) with dual pb 1000s. Also upgraded to an x3700h. X4500h is the same price, but I'm more interested in the processing channels and being able to avoid earc and cec with all dedicated devices. Man these R41m are $114 for a speaker. I'm not switching them out because they have awesome range. Theyre only surrounds but I've got them pumping out stereo until my stuff gets here. These little things have great frequency response and...really put me in the action as surrounds. Love them. No reason to replace them. They'll be in my system for a while, maybe going from surround to surround backs in the future.

I'm now a believer in matching sets. When the center channel was my only RP speaker and the rest were previous gen R speakers..it was a huge difference with the woofers and tweeters. It looks like you're matching your set. Honestly you're going to feel like Travis Scott in that ps5 commercial. If you can buy a copy of midway or mad max on 4k bluray with either dtsx or atmos, klipsch does an amazing job with directing sound across the room and it really just grabs you. I recently watched gladiator 4k HDR DTS X and it was just incredible. Even with the upfiring heights arrows were zipping past my head, big explosions, and it looks like it came out yesterday. I was amazed. Movie from 2000 in Crystal clear 4k. Physical media is king. Check it out. The difference with lossless audio is audible. Samsung doesn't pass through dts over earc though which is a bummer.

Super grateful for you input, led me to do some research, and seeing what I can do to get around the lack of DTS passthrough (btw how fn stupid is that? What were they thinking?) And I'm thinking I might run the Xbox through the receiver, so I'll lose the 120hz but gain the DTS. Next receiver will have 2.1 but I didn't want to spend the coin or wait time on getting one. Also led me to purchase the R41 SA to get some X/Atmos in and see what's up... Oh and getting my hands in Gladiator. Two movies I was obsessed with in my younger days, Matrix and Gladiator lol.

Goal was to do this set up for the living room and learn the process and be able to research more hands on so when its time to do the basement theater, Ill have small idea of what I am getting into and do it right!

Thanks again my friend
