Hilarious how one can think he has a nice bike then something like this pops up on here. Unreal man

You can still feel like you have a nice bike! If it makes you smile when you pedal, you’re probably good:)

Is there no seatpost? Do you have to custom-order the frame?

rmullOPNo22 Little Wing, Leader 722ts•

It's a seatmast with a topper - you cut the mast down to the size you want. In my case I told them the size I needed and they cut it for me. The topper offers a small range of adjustability to fine tune the height if needed.

Any idea how to do this? I went to a local high-end bike shop and they told me a metal workshop would have to do it with a plasma cutter 🤔

rmullOPNo22 Little Wing, Leader 722ts•

For titanium, specifically? It's tough, but I'm sure you could get through it with a few hacksaw blades, a cutting guide, and some elbow grease... I didn't bother making the attempt because I had my measurements handy and No22 had the tools, so I'm just speculating. But you'll definitely not want to cut seatposts with plasma since the cut will be all ragged and in need of some serious finishing, and if that's what the shop told you I think I'd ask them to cite prior examples where that suggestion led to a satisfactory outcome.

feladirrrip dolan•

You're right. Contacted No22 and they said that a plasma cutter wasn't necessary at all and that it could be done with a hacksaw and guide, same process as trimming a fork

Yep, also for a little wing seat mast. I'll research those approaches further. I thought the bike store may know what they're talking about because they're a Curve cycling dealer but it still seemed odd

Thanks for the info.

I was under the impression that titanium is incredibly difficult to cut, bordering on impossible with hand tools, due to it becoming extremely hard when heat is applied (could be wrong about the reason :P)

I know when the FIA mandated the titanium halo for various open wheeled series (starting with F1) they had to come up with a hydraulic bolt cutter like the jaws of life that works at 10,000 psi to cut the halo in case of emergency, because rotary cutting tools wouldn't get through it.

Fuckin SICK bike BTW my homie regretted selling his Little Wing immediately.

What is the diameter of that seatpost? That topper looks tasty. My BLB Viper has a rather big seatpost-holder compared to yours.

Ok nevermind, I found the part on their website. I can´t afford a 299$ Ti Seat Mast Topper to get stolen.

Dream Bike you got there. Cheers

This is probably more like 4k with the wheels... not crazy compared to high end track bikes

You need to account for the amount of IPA you buy after you get it. Lol but really, that’s not bad. I thought they’d be similarly priced to the road bikes I was looking at on their website. It seems much more within reach now :)

Did Mr. Garrison design this seatpost?

Sweet pics dude, your bike is gorgeous. I'm digging the silver and purple. Nice choice of background, a boathouse. Do you row?

1
rmullOPNo22 Little Wing, Leader 722ts•

Thanks! I rowed for a minute a long time ago, but the background wasn't selected for any reason other than being a nearby spot for accessing the water.

What bars are you using in this pic? Thanks

2

38cm Zipp Service Course SL80. Since the pic was taken I have replaced them with 36cm Dixie Flyer Hellyer bars to give narrower carbon bars a shot.

When did they add a bottle cage mount 🤔

1
rmullOPNo22 Little Wing, Leader 722ts•

That's a customization, since I switch this bike into road-mode when it's not on the track. Standard Little Wing has no bottle mounts or brake hole like mine does.
