Young Griff & Dany's Weakness (Spoilers Extended)

EXTENDED

I've often been quite to discount the idea of Dany and fAegon marrying (mainly due to timing, etc.) but if you look at what Dany is attracted to, fAegon fits it 100%.

At the very least, Dany is going to be very attracted to fAegon and struggle with whether she should trust him or not.

fAegon's Appearance

Young Griff stumbled up onto deck yawning. "Good morrow, all." The lad was shorter than Duck, but his lanky build suggested that he had not yet come into his full growth. This beardless boy could have any maiden in the Seven Kingdoms, blue hair or no. Those eyes of his would melt them. Like his sire, Young Griff had blue eyes, but where the father's eyes were pale, the son's were dark. By lamplight they turned black, and in the light of dusk they seemed purple. His eyelashes were as long as any woman's. -ADWD, Tyrion IV

Daario Naharis

I've often wondered what Daario's point is in the story other than a distraction for Dany. But when you compare their appearances it makes sense that it is foreshadowing for one of Dany's big physical attractions:

A great talker, you mean."

"He brings us the Stormcrows." And he has blue eyes.

"Five hundred sellswords of uncertain loyalty." -ASOS, Daenerys IV

and fair/lithe/long hair/smooth skinned:

When the exile knight delivered him, she asked herself whether two men had ever been so different. The Tyroshi was fair where Ser Jorah was swarthy; lithe where the knight was brawny; graced with flowing locks where the other was balding, yet smooth-skinned where Mormont was hairy. And her knight dressed plainly while this other made a peacock look drab, though he had thrown a heavy black cloak over his bright yellow finery for this visit. He carried a heavy canvas sack slung over one shoulder.

The only problem is that he is low-born (unlike fAegon lol):

He is going to make a sortie, Dany realized, and if he takes Ben Plumm's head, he'll walk into the wedding feast and throw it at my feet. Seven save me. Why couldn't he be better born? -ADWD, Daenerys VII

Gerris Drinkwater

Dany sees Gerris and is immediately attracted to him:

Greenguts was huge and bald as a stone, with arms thick enough to rival even Strong Belwas. Gerrold was a lean, tall youth with sun streaks in his hair and laughing blue-green eyes. That smile has won many a maiden's heart, I'll wager. His cloak was made of soft brown wool lined with sandsilk, a goodly garment. -ADWD, Daenerys VII

Frog, the squire, was the youngest of the three, and the least impressive, a solemn, stocky lad, brown of hair and eye. His face was squarish, with a high forehead, heavy jaw, and broad nose. The stubble on his cheeks and chin made him look like a boy trying to grow his first beard. Dany had no inkling why anyone would call him Frog. Perhaps he can jump farther than the others.-ADWD, Daenerys VII

And might have considered Dorne's offer a bit more if it was Gerris and not Quentyn

"I feared as much." Neither enchanted nor enchanting, alas. A pity he's the prince, and not the one with the wide shoulders and the sandy hair. "You have come for a kiss, however. You mean to marry me. Is that the way of it? The gift you bring me is your own sweet self. Instead of Viserys and your sister, you and I must seal this pact if I want Dorne." -ADWD, Daenerys VII

Dany's thoughts on Aegon VI

She might be wary about it actually being him (mummer's dragon) but she also would be super excited to know another Targaryen was alive:

The floppy ears she chose today were made of sheer white linen, with a fringe of golden tassels. With Jhiqui's help, she wound the tokar about herself correctly on her third attempt. Irri fetched her crown, wrought in the shape of the three-headed dragon of her House. Its coils were gold, its wings silver, its three heads ivory, onyx, and jade. Dany's neck and shoulders would be stiff and sore from the weight of it before the day was done. A crown should not sit easy on the head. One of her royal forebears had said that, once. Some Aegon, but which one? Five Aegons had ruled the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. There would have been a sixth, but the Usurper's dogs had murdered her brother's son when he was still a babe at the breast. If he had lived, I might have married him. Aegon would have been closer to my age than Viserys. Dany had only been conceived when Aegon and his sister were murdered. Their father, her brother Rhaegar, perished even earlier, slain by the Usurper on the Trident. Her brother Viserys had died screaming in Vaes Dothrak with a crown of molten gold upon his head. They will kill me too if I allow it. The knives that slew my Stalwart Shield were meant for me. -ADWD, Daenerys I

and:

The dragon has three heads. There are two men in the world who I can trust, if I can find them. I will not be alone then. We will be three against the world, like Aegon and his sisters. -ASOS, Daenerys VI

And like Barristan (who Dany is excited to learn about Westeros from) he will be able to discuss history, etc. with her:

Aegon has been shaped for rule before he could walk. He has been trained in arms, as befits a knight to be, but that was not the end of his education. He reads and writes, he speaks several tongues, he has studied history and law and poetry. A septa has instructed him in the mysteries of the Faith since he was old enough to understand them. He has lived with fisherfolk, worked with his hands, swum in rivers and mended nets and learned to wash his own clothes at need. He can fish and cook and bind up a wound, he knows what it is like to be hungry, to be hunted, to be afraid. Tommen has been taught that kingship is his right. Aegon knows kingship is his duty, that a king must put his people first, and live and rule for them -ADWD, Epilogue

Other thoughts/quotes that could have connections:

The Men of House Targaryen

Lysono Maar spoke the Common Tongue very well. “I have the honor to be the eyes and ears of the Golden Company, princess.”

“You look…” She hesitated.

“…like a woman?” He laughed. “That I am not.”

“…like a Targaryen,” Arianne insisted. His eyes were a pale lilac, his hair a waterfall of white and gold. All the same, something about him made her skin crawl. Was this what Viserys looked like? she found herself wondering. If so perhaps it is a good thing he is dead.

“I am flattered. The women of House Targaryen are said to be without peer in all the world.”

“And the men of House Targaryen?”

“Oh, even prettier. Though if truth be told, I have only seen the one.” Maar took her hand in his own, and kissed her lightly on the wrist. “Mistwood sent word of your coming, sweet princess. We will be honored to escort you to the Roost, but I fear you have missed Lord Connington and our young prince.” -TWOW, Arianne II

Tyrion's Advice to fAegon

By striking at Westeros first, not only does fAegon not show up in Meereen as a beggar:

"I have," the lad insisted. "Why should I go running to my aunt as if I were a beggar? My claim is better than her own. Let her come to me … in Westeros."

Franklyn Flowers laughed. "I like it. Sail west, not east. Leave the little queen to her olives and seat Prince Aegon upon the Iron Throne. The boy has stones, give him that."

But its possible he could give her a gift upon her arrival (dead Lannisters, etc.)?

Obviously so much more is going on that prevents it from guaranteeing a Dany/fAegon marriage, but even if Dany is focused on "Fire & Blood" and married to Hizdahr and or Victarion/Euron/whatever, once she meets Aegon she is going to be smitten (even though she probably kills him at some point as well).

TLDR: At a minimum, Dany has a weakness for eye candy and fAegon
