Big if true. But no, I very much doubt this is legit.
Okay my true blue fellow anosmia sufferers - ever heard of this before??

Well it says in the article that it’s a Jamaican remedy for anosmia caused by disease. So... this is totally irrelevant for “true blue anosmia sufferers” as you put it— because ours is mainly from trauma or since birth, not just COVID which is likely to be temporary anosmia anyways.
Those of us who’ve spent 20 + years without smell and taste due to a virus or sinus disease would also consider ourselves anosmia sufferers. Mine is far from temporary unfortunately. Just because I can get a slight smell a couple of days a year due to high doses of steroids, doesn’t mean I don’t suffer. I pay for those few days with the extreme side effects of the steroids. And frankly because I can vividly remember what things smell and taste like, I wonder if I suffer more than someone who never had it in the first place. I thought it was interesting that there is a Jamaican remedy and I wonder how many others there are in other cultures and if anyone else has tried these. Nothing is irrelevant in the search for answers.
Sorry if you were offended by my reply. I wasn’t excluding people like you, that’s why I said “MAINLY from trauma or since birth”. And I lost mine due to trauma several years ago so believe me, I “suffer” from the loss and the memory of what was. Feel free to try the Jamaican thing all you want
