/r/pureminecraft submission rules

While no one wants to participate in a community where submissions are ruled with an iron fist, keep in mind that this community was created to have posts that are truly Minecraft related. It is especially important that we adhere to this as a new community so that we don't get off on the wrong track. When posting new topics, be sure to observe the following guidelines:

  • No topics solely about release dates. This includes posts such as "When the hell will x.y actually be out?" and "x.y has been delayed AGAIN". Developers have lives and run into problems (both personal and professional) that we may not know about.

  • No developer tweets that are ambiguous or have nothing to do with the game. Some examples of recent tweets by Notch that should not be posted here: a) "Healthy food equals healthy code! Unfortunately, I had a greasy burger." b) "Our neighbors are practicing tap . And they need the practice, they're not very good yet." c) "From looking at my mentions, it seems like people want 1.8. :-D Patience, it's Coming Eventually(tm)!"

  • Absolutely NO bitching or telling the developers what they 'need' to do. While suggestions are fine, they need to be presented as such! "Hey Notch, fix this!" and "Why the hell isn't this bug fixed?" are NOT acceptable ways to post. It's all about attitude.

  • If you are posting about features in upcoming updates, USE SPOILER TAGS (explained further here and in the sidebar). While it has been very exciting hearing about the things we have to look forward to, some people would rather be surprised on update day. Let's not ruin it for anyone!

  • No meme posts. This includes rage comics! If you just made a really cool new "scumbag steve" that you have to share, keep it in the comments. Otherwise, feel free to make it a post over in r/minecraft.

If you have any questions or comments about the rules apply, feel free to contact me or one of the moderators (when we actually get some).
