Speaker for the Dead and Ender’s Way

    Orson Scott Card.

The slipcases for these, which are capped liked Ender’s Game, are complex and time-consuming to make. Let’s hope for late February. These will probably run around $225 to $250 each. In January, we’ll ask everyone for their numbers on Ender’s Game so we can match numbers on the new titles.

Ender's Way is an anthology that is supposed to contain all or most of the existing Ender short stories as well as a new one. Both volumes will be illustrated and although the details have yet to be revealed, the covers can be seen on Centipede Press's website. These are very limited editions.

  • The Last Shadow (October 19th, 2021)

    From Macmillan's website (h/t to u/BrokenScouter):

THE LAST SHADOW (Other Tales from the Ender Universe)

    Tor Books

    Tor/Forge

    On Sale: 10/19/2021

    ISBN: 9780765304957

    288 Pages

It should be noted that a lot of this may be standin information, including the page count and release date, but them actually listing it is indicative that the book is likely already finished or will be soon.

Our last real update on this was back in April, when Orson Scott Card said that he had written the first 40 pages and retitled the book from Shadows Alive to The Last Shadow.

Before that Card had written a short story titled "Messenger", which functions as a sort of prologue to the book, and can be found inside the Infinite Stars Dark Frontiers anthology (as well as on the OnTheFly mailing list).

It should also be noted that Card has just finished sharing the previous book he wrote on his OnTheFly mailing list, and so he will likely start sharing some previews of The Last Shadow there in the coming months.
