Combat feels really unrealistic, theres no kind of dodging stat/mechanic, and zombie attacks are way too lethal.
- If a zombie makes an attack it always hits. Ive never seen a game like this that doesnt have some kind of dodge chance. People dont just stand there and take the hits, they naturally move around to try and avoid attacks, and zombies are very predictable in how they attack. Id like to see some kind of dodge chance, especially a stat that you can train and get better with.
- The zombie attacks are way too lethal per attack. Any given attack has a good chance of causing massive bleeding that you die from very quickly, a lot of times you dont have time to even break out the bandages before you bleed out. This again is unrealistic as hell. Human finger nails can barely draw blood at all even on bare skin, and a bite is difficult to land on any vulnerable place. Human bite cannot break through thick fabric like denim or leather. The only way that a zombies bite could do that kind of massive damage is if they manage to grab you and get a solid bite on your neck. Anywhere else and people regularly survive being mauled by things far stronger than a zombie, like dogs and bears.
I get it that they want combat to be difficult, but I see so many people saying its more realistic, but its not. Single zombies should not be anywhere near this powerful. These seem to be super-strong zombies, not human basic zombies. Now obviously crowds should be hella dangerous, cause then you can get grabbed a lot more easily and that opens you up for more bites, but single zombies should not be able to cause guaranteed hits and lethal wounds like this.
*edit*: JFC these scratches are pissing me the fuck off. Ive lost over 100 characters now to random scratches that are neck lacerations, meaning dead in a few seconds. Its seems like nearly half of all scratches go straight for the neck. NERF THIS SHIT so that scratches are actually fucking survivable!
