Looking to upgrade from a Canon Powershot SX 530. Recommendations?

I’m not sure my exact budget (graduation gift) but I’ll say less then $700 for now. I mainly take wildlife and travel photos. I take a lot of close up shots and would like to experiment with different lenses. I enjoy the Canon brand quite a bit. Would also like an improvement in photo quality, especially when zoomed in. I also like portrait mode but I have a hard time getting those shots on my current camera due to stability issues. I don’t know a lot about photography, more of a hobby, so relatively easy to use.
