Can someone give me a "interesting" cultural area/space for a university project?

I'm writing here because i don't know where to go.

so I need to write about the traditions surrounding "Christmas" in a cultural area of my choice.

i don't want to choose any commonly known cultures.

i thought about choosing something like Christmas in the second life world but I'm asking here because i know some of you guys will have some good ideas!

I'm hoping someone here could give me a good suggestion!

thank you reddit!
