I know maxing all walls before next th is usually not a good idea(wasting DE and builder time) but I know that neglecting walls is also bad
An exact number would be hard, but what range of maxed walls is ok? (Out of 300)
(I'm th11 going to th12 soon)

its hard to say without knowing how often you raid. but if you raid pretty consistently you should keep 1 builder only for walls when you can that way when your other 4 builders are building you can still raid and level your walls up. also getting the gold pass will help a ton since you can get 25mil gold/elixer which is like 10-14 walls right there
I'm almost th12 and I've never thought of freeing up one builder for walls! I've always kept my builders as busy as possible ..

I just came back to the game after like 4 years and took my th9 to th10 and maxed my th10 walls in a week because I just raided very frequently and left 1 builder only for my walls. It’s a little more difficult after th11 because you have 3 heroes to upgrade and your walls are so damn expensive lol. But I think you should dedicate 1 builder to walls until they’re maxed 2 dedicated to hero’s and 2 dedicated to your other upgrades.. if you raid enough dedicate 3 builders to your hero’s ! Good luck
Just upgrade the walls as you go
I usually stop doing walls when all the things I can do with DE are finished, if no why shouod you stop?
Here is what's left: 2 Golem levels, All skeleton spell levels (it's 1 rn), 1 level poison and 1 level earthquake
The earthquake and poison are so expensive I'm thinking of hammering them later... and the Golem and skeleton spell are not worth it imo
I'm thinking of using the DE on the queen lv51 (after I go th12)
However my walls are not even close to 50% so I thought while I upgrade them I might continue upgrading the spells.. idk tho
