Shower thought

SpoilerManga Spoilers

Just a shower thought. Kruger told Grisha that an Eldian doctor( who was pretending to be Marlian) faked his blood test so Kruger could pretend to be a Marlian. He joined the Marlian military and started an insurgency to restore Eldia. It got me thinking could the doctor be the previous holder of the Attack Titan?

Here's the reason: Kruger basically chose Grisha to be his successor because he received future memories. Could the doctor that faked his blood test have chosen Kruger in a similar way because he also received future memories.

Not only that but perhaps the Doctor gave Kruger his mission to start an insurgency, just like how Kruger gave Grisha the mission to acquire the Founding Titan.

Basically Kruger told Grisha to love someone so Eren could be born and save Armin and Mikasa.

The unnamed Doctor saved Kruger and told him to start an insurgency to save Grisha.

That doctor was literally Thomas Xaver, the Beast Titan shifter who gave it to Zeke.

Kruger most likely got the Attack Titan from one of his father's friends (remember: he already came from a family of restorationists), who simultaneously might have been an Eldian from Hizuru/protected by Hizuru, hence why Marley wasn't able to get their hands on the Attack Titan before. Though that's yet to be confirmed (and I doubt there's enough chapters left for that, maybe if another final databook comes out).

The doctor being Xaver is still headcanon right ? I mean it’s a widely accepted community headcanon and just makes sense but it’s never really been confirmed right ? Unless I missed something in one of the chapters

I guess it depends on what you mean as confirmation. Imho there's no other option than Xaver being THE doctor.

The thing that set it in stone for me was the fact that Zeke's plush monkey is the same Xaver's son had. It can be seen in the panel where Xaver finds his wife and son dead. And Zeke had it way before he knew Xaver. So, in my eyes, Xaver and Kruger cooperated, Xaver set his eyes on Zeke, while Kruger on Grisha. So Grisha probably got the monkey toy from the Owl (Kruger) to give to his son.

There's also the fact that Xaver made Zeke sent his parents to Paradise, which was way too convenient for Kruger to be mere chance (and he was there during the arest too). It all fits together too well and makes way more sense than a random other doctor to play a role as well.

Personally, I think Kiyomi was also more involved than we're led to believe at this point. This is trully only a headcanon, but I believe she's in some way involved with Mr. Leonhardt as well. He had to learn his martial arts somewhere and Kiyomi is the only other person aside him and Annie shown to be using what reminds me of Aikido (using your opponent's strenght against him). So he may have been her spy, potentionally the whole reason he raised Annie as a soldier was to make sure she goes to Paradis and they can learn about the whereabouts of the Attack Titan sent in by Kruger all those years before. Again, Kiyomi was shown using spies during the Liberio arc. But, as I said, this might be just a headcanon. The Xaver/Kruger dynamics make way more sense to be just headcanon at this point.
