Transfer of Mortgage

I'm trying to do a transfer of equity. so my name gets taken off the mortgage and I get a lump sum and it'll just be my brother's name on the mortgage.

Got the paper work from my brother's solicitors. Went to my own. Got everything signed and notarised, then they said they were gonna send it off. That was about the 3rd Dec. Haven't really heard anything from anyone. I get the feeling the solictors I used might have cocked things up and for whatever reason, haven't sent the docs off.

Anyone experience this? Doesn't it take longer for things to get sorted? Am I missing something?
