Tread+ Height?

Hi all - about to get a Tread+ and had questions about height requirements. The site recommends a ceiling height of user height plus 24”. My wife and I are both 5’6”/5’7”, and our basement has 7.5-foot tall ceilings. So we seem to be right at the minimum recommended height, if not slightly below. How much “give” is there in these recommendations? We have options other than our basement with higher ceilings, but we’d prefer to go with the basement if it’s possible.

Thoughts on that ceiling height working without us risking bonking our heads on an incline? :)
