A mother in a family should be acknowledged, respected and credited equally if not more than father.

My father have been living in abroad since last 20 years and has been providing everything to us. I feel ashamed that I still have to live under his charity and have to ask him for everything. I am very thankful to him.

But lately I feel very infuriated to hear people credit everything to my dad only and not my mother. I mean, he has earned money for the family but earning money and management is different thing. My dad would not have saved a penny (more or less it does not matter), if it was not for my mother.

She raised three of us, I am 20 Y/O but I have barely spent 15 months of my life with my father. And I must say, raising three children by yourself is not easy. Get up early, clean the house, cook food, feed the children, send them school, wash their clothers full of mud and dirt, prepare snacks, dinner and do this everyday of your life, for your family and children, leaving behind all your dreams and passion and for what. To hear people say everything we have today is possible only because my dad went to abroad and earned money. He gets all the credit while half of the thing was possible only because of my mother.

My mom is clearly more smart than my father. She knows how to deal with people, where to invest money, whom to lend and whom to lie. She is more practical than my father and definitely have a better decision making and problem solving skill. It is not my father who get calls and messages from people asking for their money and interest of loan he took for his stupid reasons which nobody agreed. He dont have to face people now and then asking for money and don't have to listen to their rude and nasty words. And when we finally clear their money they say "eklai le yetro sab jodnu vayo hai waha le mannai parxa"

It is not just my family, the contributions and sacrifice a wife (specially boomers) are often overlooked and not considered. They manage everything in the family and husbands get away with all the credit. The fact that they are completely fine with their husbands getting all the credit just shows how great they are.
