Chinese inspired english name for baby

Baby Names

My husband and I are working on coming up with baby names, and we're struggling with girl names. We've come up with a list of pretty names but we're having a difficult time agreeing on one, so right now we're changing gears and focusing more on what name might be more meaningful to us, rather than just sounding pretty. We're both Chinese and thought it might be nice to come up with an English name that is Chinese inspired. For instance, it took a long time for us to conceive, so one name we're considering is Lia/Leah based on the Chinese word for gift, liwu. Or we've toyed with names like Alli based on Chinese words like ai (ai for love) or li (mei li for pretty)

Are there other Chinese words, names, meanings that sound similar to pretty English names? We're both American born so are looking for names in English rather than traditional Chinese names, but like the idea of having a kind of underlying Chinese meaning. We don't gravitate towards traditional feminine qualities (beauty, purity, etc) but would rather highlight qualities like intelligence, strength, or gift, thankful, miracle, etc. Thank you!
