Does killing a boss in soul form raise me by +1 or only human form? And if dying in soul form is neutral, should I die while human in the nexus to avoid any potential goofs, I’ve seen that recommended for the old version of demon souls?

> I have not died yet as human but I did kill the the spider demon and returned to the nexus after. Does that mean I was pure white but I’m no longer pure white?

No. You started at +1 as any new character and killed one boss which shifts towards white by 1. So if you didn't die in body form you're now at +2 in Stonefang Tunnel. So after you kill the next boss, assuming you don't die in body form, you'll be at pure white (+3) in this area.

The game keeps track of your world tendency in real time just fine but you will simply not see any changes in your current world unless you warp/return to the Nexus. You can leave a world and return whenever you want and as often as you want.

The gate in 1-1 opens in either PWWT or PBWT but will remain open once you reached either of those at least once.

Thanks greatly appreciate it. Do you recommend I kill my self in human form in the nexus and only explore in soul form. I have not died yet as human but I did kill the the spider demon and returned to the nexus after. Does that mean I was pure white but I’m no longer pure white? I’m trying to get dragon bone smashed and the katana, does that mean I can only clear areas in one go without dying non stop without returning to the nexus. Same with boletaria 1-1 locked gate?

That was removed in the remake, wt no longer syncs to a server average.

As for how it works, I'll keep is simple:

* I'll be referring to a point system (0 is neutral, -4 is pure black, +3 is pure white). This isn't really how it works behind the scenes but it can be accurately used to describe stuff.
* new characters start at +1 in each world
* world tendency only updates when returning to the Nexus or warping via a archstone
* killing a boss in a world shifts you one point towards white
* killing an invader in a world shifts you one point towards white
* dying in body form shifts you one point towards black
* killing certain NPCs shifts you 3 points towards black in that world (Miralda, Scirvir, blue phantom Rydell, Satsuki, Selen Vinland)
* killing Doran in 1-1 shifts you 2 points towards black in that world
* killing a Primeval Demon shifts you 3 towards white (there's one per world, they spawn at **-3/black** wt)
* killing a unique black phantom shifts you 3 towards white (one

I came across a guide talking about world tendency, and it says playing online results in a single world tendency shared by all and your own unique progress earned is lost when you log out. Is this true or only true for the ps3 private servers for demons souls revival.

Also can anyone break down the important need to knows for world tendency and exclusive/missable items. An old player here but there are certain weapons I do not want to miss
