That's what most writers want. Their only motivation is to give people on the internet a chance to take still frames from their work and put their words under it. It's a beautiful purpose.

I wish I could downvote this a million times. This was the worst part of the already disappointing premiere. I hate Stanley so much. I can't believe they tried to make it like everyone finds this SO hilarious, it's completely inane and unfunny.

How is that an appropriate response? The Office is different than it was when it started. Some of us don't like what it's become. You are entitled to whatever opinion you want, but so is everyone else.

If you preferred the first season of The Office... it's a near word for word copy of the English one. Give that a try, it's much better.

I've always thought that Toby is the everyman, normal character in the cast, not Jim. I was thinking, he saw everyone kissing ass, trying to act bigger than they are, and he said fuck this. Of course, his character has kind of evolved into your description, so you may be right.
