Marinade for tofu?

Food

I'm terrible at cooking and not really a big fan of tofu but it seems very versatile and I cant seem to find ways to marinade tofu without a whole recepie following. So any nice marinades you guys like to soak that stuff in?

Last night I made stir fry and I just used the sauce I made for that to marinade the tofu... Equal parts brown sugar, soy sauce and pineapple juice. With a little sriracha, ketchup, garlic and ginger squirted in. I’m not much for following recipes lol.

The easiest and tastiest way I’ve prepared tofu is to cut it into cubes and arrange on a baking sheet and cover each cube with soy sauce. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until it dries out a bit, maybe 45 minutes or so. It’s really delicious!

One of my favourites (though not that healthy) is a teriyaki style sauce.

Sauce - Mix, 3TBSP Soy Sauce, 3TBSP Sugar, bit of ginger - anything else that you fancy, I recommend also adding splash of chilli, garlic and sesame seed.

Fry the tofu in a little bit of oil till it starts browning.

Add the sauce to pan and make sure all tofu is covered in sticky sauce.

Done - Delicious

My regular marinade is 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, and sriracha to taste. I put pressed, cubed tofu in and let it soak until all the marinade is absorbed. From here I can fry or bake the tofu, or just munch it straight from the bowl.
