Have I made a mistake?

I have been checking multiple (UK) sites for 3070's and 3080's. At the msrp at launch I could afford a 3080 but the prices obviously have inflated and in the UK stock is awful. I found some 3070's in stock costing £650-£680, I went at the higher end and got the GIGABYTE AORUS GEFORCE RTX 3070 MASTER (for £680). Was this a mistake? should I have had more patience?

I've not seen any improvement in the market, crypto is rising increasing demand from miners, covid is still causing disruption, demand from gamers won't be going down, suppliers ain't ramping up production, I can't personally imagine prices dropping till the summer and my 3gb 1060 is struggling with the gaming + streaming load it is currently being put under. Would love some reassurance that I've been dumb, I can still return it if I find something better or question my decision massively
