I hate the philosophy behind what large corporations use to justify annoying ass commercials.
This is talking about all large corporations that people are going to go regardless of the need of commercials. This would include Walmart, Kroger, McDonalds, etc. Their whole philosphy is basically to make the most annoying, cringe inducing commericials that they can to ensure customer recognition of their brand. When I say this, they use the philosophy of if people can recall the brand in the ad, then it's a success. Here's the thing though, people are still going to go to these places no matter what. For example, lets say Wal-Mart makes the most obnoxious annoying commerical ever. Well in Wal-Mart's mind, they think the commerical is a success because people go to Wal-Mart; surprise it's not, people are still going to Wal-Mart of groceries.
Not once have I decided to go to Wal-Mart because of their ads, I just go their if it's convenient. This is similar to how other brands advertise. The fact that these brands have to one-up each others ads in terms of annoyingness and cringiness, is just a wank-fest and we're being held hostage for ridicoulous ads.
TLDR: Brands think their annoying ass ads are a success if people go and purchase their products, regardless if they hold a large amount of business.
