XEM still doesn't have open registrations, and there are a number of anime that don't have aliases for their proper names.... would it be possible to force an alias/alternate name in the database in the future for monitored shows?
I've tried the XEM irc, but can't get through to people to add the series I need added.

IRC you need to register a nick, there was a spam flood awhile ago.
PS: The reason registrations is closed is that so many people submitted horrible drafts, that the mods spent more time nuking bad drafts than they would writing the drafts themselves. So the xem admins only open up regs for individuals that have proved they can actually contribute good drafts.
