Why no reply from the company for even simple questions? Can we really get a refund within 2 weeks?

Hi, I am considering to buy the software. Few days ago, I asked the company some simple sale related questions including the possibility of getting a free update to version 5 but there is no reply from them. I wonder if I will be ignored after I bought the software. From the website, they mentioned that there is a free trial period and we could get a full refund within two weeks. Has anybody tried that? Can we really get the full refund back? Why don't they just make it free for 2 weeks and if we decide to buy it, we pay?
