4-2-3-1 Tutorial

Hi, I already did a tutorial in 4-4-2 before, but with the advance of 3-5-2 as the new meta, I tried to make something different to surprise the players that already saw my tutorials and the ones that used 4-4-2 because it was trending. This is a team that would give you a chance to high press and sit in a deep position at the same time.

Formation: 4-2-3-1 Mentality: Utilitarian (you will choose between strategies depending on the opponent)

Tips: This is a better 4-2-1-3, with defensive trait.

Your best friend will be the long balls, this is not a formation that you would use to keep possession. Use it to counter and create chances by being fast and unpredictable.

Defend you flanks. You have two players there. Use it wisely.

Players

Keeper Sweeper Keeper

This is a must. Even if you are defensively settled, sometimes they would play through balls and your keeper will be there to save them.

Fullbacks Explorer or Voyager

They are fast and have running trait. They also have can cover the flanks really quick if you're being countered. They give you the chance to attack and defend and have the strength to cross the ball to the other side, creating dangerous situations to the opponent

Center backs Guard or Warrior

They will be the first to create in your team. One touch trait, not to much tall to be slow and fairly good in the air.

Defensive Middlefielders Intruder and Protector

A fast player in the middle is a great way to steal balls up in the front and create chances. The Intruder is the smartest one with running trait and would cut the passing line sometimes even if you don't click on him. Protector would have a more defensive trait, sometimes even creating a back three in some situations.

Central attacking Middlefielder Prowler or Poacher

They are fairly fast, super smart with their great reaction and would give you a good duo with your striker, sometimes changing to a 4-4-2 in order to press.

Wingers Speedster and Jet

Act like they were opposed footed wingers. I used to hate Speedsters but this formation suits them really well

Striker Menace or Poacher

You need them to be good in the air and be fast. Use them as pivots too
