I want people to put in genuine effort.

What do you think?*

Once upon a time I tried blindly and yes it's very frustrating for Fe to not see reciprocation. But I learned that sometimes what I was doing wasn't what they needed or wanted. Sometimes they were straight up the wrong people.

Nowadays I'm a lot more selective about who I put in effort for, how much to put in without seeing results, and I try to make sure I take care of myself first.

And of course, it's never 100%. It might not even be 1%. You need to make peace with failure before trying. Perhaps failing for the right reasons is a form of success in itself. For example, if someone had weak boundaries, wouldn't getting them to finally say no be a success? 😉
