Survived "veganuary"

I went from eating meat nearly daily to 31 days without any animal products and I didn't die I guess it's not as bad as everyone says.

Remember that carnism is a dominant idealogy. It’s not hard, but society makes you think it is. Great job!

Everybody says it's bad because that gives them an excuse not to do it and makes them feel better about a lifestyle they know is harmful.

Whenever you do anything against the norm, you will be ridiculed. I think it’s cool to be different! Who likes dilute people anyway?

Veganism for the win!

Wow that’s insane. Most people have a near death experience within the first 28 days! /s :)

Nice one btw! 👍

Expect the "you will start seeing issues at n+(n/2)" where n is the length of time you've been vegan. At two years of being a vegan I was told I'd need a dietician at three years. At five years now I'm roughly told at 7 years I will suffer...

I’m going on 14 years and I still get this

I’ve eaten meat about three times in my life, and been vegan for 18 years now. I’ve spent much of the last three years doing adventure touring and cycling a 130kg load up mountains, doing 100+km days, and my recovery has always been way above average. No one needs meat, nor any other part or product of an animal’s body. what we DO need is to consider the victims of our everyday choices (this goes way beyond just food) and humble ourselves in the knowledge that our own pleasures or wishes do not hold higher importance that the conscious experience and lives of others or the health of our planet. It is a moral obligation to be vegan at the very least!

Fair play to you. I’ve also survived the month and have learnt bits to improve myself. But the real question is...What is your first proper meal going to be??

Doesn’t sound like you improved much

The best way you can improve is it to keep going!
