First Deity Domination Victory! [Album]

This was a big milestone for me. Domination is easily the victory type I am least comfortable with, so I struggled many times to get any traction in a Domination attempt.

I wasn't very good at balancing developing my empire and my military nor was I good at gauging the strength of my opponents and determining what I would need to conquer them. I wasn't confident in my ability to catch up when falling behind early and I didn't know how to time my power spikes against my opponents' power spikes. Each Civilization has a different power spike in Domination, so it's a bit more of a challenge when trying someone new.

Nice! I’m about to finish a deity domination win as the Ottomans. Been a long haul, but almost there.

I’m much more comfortable with culture victories on deity, so I’m with you!

This has been my first deity game really using the vampires effectively. The vampire units are insane. I was in a back and forth, 500 year war with Genghis Khan from the start of the game and now near the end of the game he has a +47 attack strength just from units killed next to him. Didn’t even kill any barbs! Pair him with Himiko, fascism and oligarchic legacy card and it’s unstoppable.
