ELI5: Active Trader
I’ve seen people say they flip back and forth between Active Trader and a standard account and I’m just wondering why.
I’ve also seen posts saying to contact support to ask for AT “for free”. Is there usually a cost associated with having an AT account? If it’s free and allows for reduced fees on a purchase then why wouldn’t everyone want to use it?
Can anyone explain the positives/negatives to using Active Trader to a Gemini noob?

My understanding is that active trader is free to use, has lower fees, and a more difficult UI. I switch to active trader only when I wanna make a purchase
Yeah I do it for the lower fees too. Never buy from the app itself
Why switch back though? Just for a more simple UI?
Pretty much, I just like to be able to see everything at once and you can click on a asset and it gives you more info about the company and it’s purpose
+1
I find their standard GUI easy to read the chart.
