Stadia has been fantastic and got me back into gaming
I just wanted to post this as I've had Stadia since last fall and currently own 2 controllers and have a Pro account. I've purchased the Elder Scrolls Online, which I just couldn't get into but having access to all these Pro games has been fantastic for me and my family, especially during the state of the world.
When I was younger I used to be a PC gamer elitist always chasing the latest and greatest hardware and going through the endless upgrade cycle. I've also owned just about every console out there and eventually just stopped playing games all together because life happened - wife, kid, career, demands, etc.
I hadn't played any games or owned a console since the original Xbox and PS3 and I had been watching Stadia since it was announced in 2019. With that being said I've owned a number of Google products and subscribe to multiple services including Nest Aware, Google One, Pixel phones, and well we are all aware of Google's graveyard and their ability to kill a product for any reason at any time.
With all this said, Stadia has been amazing for me to get back into playing games for both me and my family in our spare time. I said to my wife, you literally just hold the "S" button and our Roku TV automatically changes the input the CCU and she clicks her account and is up and playing our Family Shared Plan.
I was saddened to hear the news this week and please Google don't kill this as this has been the best gaming experience I've had up to this point by literally having a controller and the small CCU plugged into our TV. I've kept an eye on Luna as well but we are already heavily invested in the Google ecosystem so I really want this to succeed.
I just wanted to post some love for Stadia from someone who is just getting back into gaming again.
