Correlation between nerfs and new Jagex ownership

Discussion

Could there be any correlation between Jagex being bought out by the Carlyle Group (a corrupt company that profited off of 9/11 and billion dollar military defence contracts) and the proposed blog for nerfs? AFAIK Jagex announced new ownership just around the same time the first nerf blog post was announced. Is it possible the Carlyle group gave orders down the chain of command to make some serious changes to OSRS? Is it possible the BP nerfs are so hardcore that Jagex might think people will buy enough bonds to afford a tbow?

A new ownership takes over and starts making decisions that hurt the game? Totally unheard of.

The day they add any MTX other than bonds (which they were allegedly forced to add) is the day I’m done with OSRS

They were not forced to add them. They ran a poll (Shocking I know) if free-to-play should be added along with bonds. They said the only way free-to-play would be added is if bonds were added too.

No I don't imagine they actually give a shit about the game itself, just the sweet sweet $11
