Accidental seeds

I got about two dozen seeds out of a small spacebucket grow. I assume this was because the plant grew some balls and seeded itself, but I can't find any balls or nanners. Given that I have mature seeds, could the balls or nanners fallen off after they pollinated? What should I be looking for?
