Removed Spring for L button for powershielding. Now my R button which still has its spring doesn't 'click'

The L button mod seems to work fine.

Now the R button, which still has its spring, does not click after a press. The rubber tip at the end of the pastic the spring is around does seem to be falling apart after years of use, but was working prior to opening it up.

I Did mess with the little slider things inside.

What should i check for / is there a way to fix this?

this happened to me too, it's the damaged rubber. you can replace it with one from another controller

This was the right answer - swapped the rubbers and it was R that was fucked up.

Ordered a new rubber on amazon to not have to use another controller.

Cheers

You likely just messed up how you set back in the trigger or pad, when they're not aligned that's what tends to happen, just open it back up and fiddle with it a bit then close it up again. Test the trigger before screwing it together so you can make sure you got it working again.

You put it back together wrong.

Make sure the slider things are in the right position. Otherwise the trigger won’t catch on it and make the input happen
