Farming for ascension mats--what's your strategy?

Obviously today is Talent Book Day but for those of us who are farming Xiao's ascension mats, what's your strategy? Just farm the primo vishap & then wait for the event to get the dust to convert the gems? Mostly farm the vishap but then add in a bit of anemo cube to supplement the conversion mats? Farm the vishap, bank the gems, farm anemo cube for turquoise?

I think all these strategies have their pros and cons so I'm interested to see what everyone is doing.
