Stack Additions/Changes for quitting nicotine/withdrawal
Here's my stack/chemical brew, and I'm looking for recommendations for getting over the hump and quitting nicotine:
- Early AM - Caffeine + Nicotine + 6-8 glasses of water
- Later AM - Breakfast + supplements (NAC, L-Theanine, Agmatine, Rhodelia, Magnesium Oxide, and gummy calcium)
- Throughout Day - Caffeine + Nicotine + more water. No Caffeine 6 hours before sleeping.
- PM - L-Theanine (replaced Melatonin)
I quit smoking cigarettes (pack a day/30 years), 2 months ago - and want to get off NRT. I know nootropics work: agmatine was substantially helpful in my initial transition off of cigarettes and onto NRT. It helped my mood, and reduced my anxiety.
But each time I try to stop NRT I have horrific withdrawal, not quite anywhere as bad as when I tried quitting smoking without NRT. During my initial quitting smoking attempts off of cigarettes- without nootropics - the physical withdrawal started in 8-10 hours and left me feeling crazy, anxious, nauseated, and just bonkers.
Today the withdrawal starts between hours 10-12 and I have obsessive thoughts and feel extremely anxious. It's a much better than before, but I'm hoping to find some advice to make a little easier. The last time I tried quitting NRT - something very interesting happened within 30 minutes of my AM stack. My physical/psychological symptoms calmed down noticeably. I still failed anyway, but atleast I learned something.
I've been considering adding daytime valerian/chamomile during the withdrawal - but I suspect many people here have much more educated, nuanced advice.
