Looking for tips!

So, I’ve decided to give writing a try. I was wondering if there are any tips of what to avoid and/or what to shoot for?

I have a concept drawn up already, Im just looking for other aspects and stuff. I don’t expect to be successful by any means, it’s more or less for fun.
