Minecraft’s evokers DIDN’T create the totens of undying!
Well, I was playing Minecraft Dungeons and noted that when the player dies, they resurrect thanks to a undying totem. The logical conclusion would be that they stockpiled totens from evokers and are now bringing them to battle, but the evokers simply don’t have the totem in Dungeons. If the theory that Dungeons is set in the past is true, it all makes sense: the ancient builders (or the adventurers) created the totens, but during their civilization’s downfall, the Illagers stole them and gave them to the evokers (maybe their magic’s source is the totem, or they keep it for status), but they simply don’t know how to use it, and wear it as a necklace instead of holding when close to death, and this is why they don’t get resurrected.
