Time and space ?

Hello ! I just watched the movie yersterday and I'm completely obsessed with it ...
There are 2 things that are unclear though, so I wanted to ask you, if you have any information ?

Where exactly does the movie happen ? I'm talking about filming scene, I'm talking about the story in itself. Do we even have any place mentioned, excepted Taipei ?
And when does it happen ? We have no date, it's kind of hard to follow ! I lost track of time, it's like the part where they are young happens in like 1 month !

Thanks !
