A question on "no trespasses" fl
I run a small, local restaurant. One of my leaders had the pleasure of having to kick out a gentleman who was in, taking pictures of my undersagw staff, staying well past close and watching her, and a whole assortment of issues. Cop comes in, tells my leader that he won't no trespass the creep "because it's not illegal to film someone, I get filmed all the time." Public space and whatnot, this is fair, but shitty. However, do we not have the right as a business to refuse service and call upon the police to remove individuals we want out of our store right? This cop refused remove creep and pressured my leader k to confronting the creep and telling him why it was we are kicking him out. This is what sets me off. It is my understanding that there is no obligation to face the accuser in this scenario. If we want a guy out of our store, we are able to have him removed right? We have it on video, I got the guys name. Wondering if I'm not just confusing morality with law in this case.
