Can't connect to fabric 1.16.5 server with the Origin mod.

I've been trying to log into one of my friends servers for the past 2 days and need help.. Essentially what happens is that I load into a new world (not a server) everything runs fine, i can choose the race and stuff. I'm like, "Now for the server! " I join the server and after loading in it behaves like normal 1.16.5 and then says connection lost within 5 seconds of me joining. I've tried direct connection. Other people can choose their race in the origins mod menu. I can still join the server as an "immortal" where i can't be hit or killed by joining vanilla but its not fun.

Please help, I have another friend with the same problem.

Solved!! Make sure you have the same fabric mod as your server as well as the same origin mod.
