Am I too picky when it comes to Sound?

Hello everyone! So recently, I noticed that whenever it comes to listening to saxophone players (me included), I know that sax players may have great technique, but nowadays, there are few players I actually enjoy hearing the sound of. Like, I hear a lot of people preach to go listen to say specific players, and I know their technique is awesome, but I'm not too fond of their personal sound. Idk why I'm so picky in sound these days. And it affects me too; sometimes I hate how I sound and feel as if I suck. So, has anyone else experienced this? How do I fix it? Thank you
